Maciej Niezgoda

Attorney specializing in new technology law,
in particular intellectual property law, competition and consumer protection law and personal data protection. He provides regulatory advice to entities from the financial (FinTech), creative and IT industries. His area of ​​professional practice also includes advising on AML regulations and payment services. It supports clients in current operational activities and the implementation of innovative solutions and technologies. He coordinates and participates in GDPR implementation projects, including in international capital groups. Represents clients before courts and public administration bodies, including: the President of the Personal Data Protection Office, the President of the Office of Competition Protection and Consumers and the General Inspector of Financial Information. He gained practical experience working in international and boutique law firms dealing with new technology law. He advised several clients from the gamedev industry, creating intellectual property rights management policies for them, preparing license agreements, transfers of copyrights, regulations of use of services and EULA (End-User License Agreements).

and a PhD student at the Doctoral School of the University of Silesia. Lecturer at postgraduate studies. Law graduate from the Jagiellonian University and Université de Bordeaux. Member of the international association International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) dealing with personal data protection law. Participant of DeFi Talents - a program run by the Frankfurt School Blockchain Center, bringing together specialists from the Decentralized Finance industry from around the world. Speaker at Polish and international scientific conferences. Author of publications in scientific journals and recognized industry portals such as Rzeczpospolita and ITwiz.
